Is there a part in you that would love a ritual in which you could place a stone or light a candle for all the burdens and blessings of your heart?

This is a time to be together that centers music, silence, poetry, and ritual on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in the Chapel. You’re welcome & encouraged to come an hour early for our weekly BondFire dinner, where we’ll share a meal together.

Join fellow Common Flame folks for an afternoon of ecstatic drumming, and possibly dancing. No drumming experience required, no age or physical limits, beyond the ability to stay up til 8 pm. Bring a hand drum if you have one, but we also have extra drums and other instruments to share. Dancers are always welcome!

School funding in Jefferson County is at a critical place. Learn about the ballot issues that determine how our schools will be funded and what are the possible outcomes of our votes on these ballot issues.

UUSC (Unitarian Universalists Service Committee) Task Force Guatemala Partners works with ADIVIMA, our partners in Guatemala, to support a scholarship program for Guatemalan children impoverished by the Civil war. Our fundraising helps keep dozens of youth in school by providing for school fees, uniforms, transportation and a full time tutor.

We are a group of queer people and queer allies here at Common Flame committed to raising awareness of issues that affect the queer community and fostering communication between queer people and our allies. We will be turning that awareness and education into action, including but not limited to, helping our unhoused find refuge and helping our queer youth find safety and community.

Great Books is based on the idea that by reading from the great books of our civilization, discussing them with other people, sharing insights and questions, you can reach a fuller understanding of these works than you could on your own.
