Be a part of the Women’s Group at Common Flame, where people of all ages who identify as women can come together to foster community, support one another, and embrace the values of Unitarian Universalism. This inclusive space welcomes individuals to socialize, share experiences, and pursue personal growth while celebrating our diverse identities and perspectives. Being an Elder is a support group for members and friends of Common Flame who are in their 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, or beyond. It will meet in the chapel once a month on the 2nd Thursday of each month beginning at 10 am – 12 pm. We will create a supportive environment in which to help each other deal with the very real challenges of life as we age. And to seek to grow into Elders. This is a peer-led group for adult family members, caregivers, and loved ones of individuals with mental illness. It will be a safe place to gain insight from the experiences of others facing similar challenges. Facilitator Jan Dunn is a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)-certified group facilitator. She is also personally well-versed in this area, having dealt for many years with close family members with suffer from mental illness.

Join us during our monthly casual meeting for an opportunity to connect and deepen relationships with fellow moms. There will be a mix of faith-exploration activities and social time. Contact: Tara McKinster
